Welcome to La Jolla Playhouse and to this performance of Bhangin’ It: A Bangin’ New Musical, a joyous new work from a tremendously talented creative team, led by former Artists-in-Residents Mike Lew and Rehana Lew Mirza.

Over the last year, we celebrated the return to live performances with two stunning world-premiere productions: The Garden and to the yellow house. At the same time, the Playhouse-born shows Come From Away and Diana were seen all over the world on major streaming platforms. We also came together for our delightful Pop-Up Without Walls (WOW) event over the summer, and if you didn’t get a chance to join us then, we’ll be gathering at Liberty Station once again for our 5th WOW Festival April 21 – 24. You won’t want to miss this spectacular, community-wide – and now annual – event, featuring hundreds of local, national and international artists in more than 20 thrilling immersive and interactive works.

Projects like WOW and Bhangin’ It represent the very heart of the Playhouse’s mission to provide artists with unfettered creative opportunities, offering a glimpse of the new and the next in American Theatre.
